Business Taipan Lucio Tan, SBLAA sends financial assistance to blast victims
The SB Law Alumni Association (SBLAA) responded immediately to the call of Rev. Fr. Aloysius Ma. Maranan, OSB, rector-president, to assist the Bedan Law students who were injured in the September 26, 2010 grenade blast incident. As of press time, the SBC Alumni office was able to raise about Php 120,000 Business tycoon Lucio Tan, an honorary Bedan, chairman and president of the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. Sent in also his donation of Php100,000 through Atty. Jeremy Parulan, SBLAA treasurer.

Said funds will be used for the continuous medical treatment of the 45 victims who are all students from the SBC College of Law. Atty. Avelino Cruz, SBLAA Board of Trustees, Chairman, announced the establishment of a special assistance fund by the SBLAA of these grenade blast victims.
